about / guidelines

Guidelines:

These are various ideas that have been proposed to help guide our organization. Please comment on the m, as they are intended to follow reason and logic while reducing the possibility for friction in organization.

Philosophy:

We offer these resources to facilitate the development of our projects.

Legal Issues:

Legal issues are to be decided independently, on a per-project basis. Though, none should endanger the existance of fluidthoughts as an entity.

No illegal porn will be tolerated on this machine, nor DDoS agents.

Project Ownership:

The primary owner will be the person who is responsible for a project. (There may be more than one), though if it uses resources on tidal.fluidthoughts.com, then we should have a contact person for maintainance issues. Ownership will follow the open source methodology of transfer rights.

Project Guidelines:

To be determined at the start of each project by the project owner, perhaps with input by other project members. This should happen before the project starts, or before it expands beyond a single person project so as to avoid any confusion.

We will create a form that you may fill out at the beginning of a project to help recruit people, as well as define task, timeframe, services needed, owner, source licensing, etc.

Source Ownership:

This is to be determined by the project owner & perhaps their client. We would like to aim for an open license, preferrably the GPL, or secondly, the BSD license.

The majority of resources that tidal.fluidthoughts.com is running on are GPL. It is a good thing to support a community that supports you.
