Photo Corrections and Filters

This is where the real power of linear algebra comes into play - good thing I can let the computer tackle this for me! : )

Brightness and Contrast

Play with these to get your photograph to look more appropriate, changing the colors en masse. This can help if a photo has turned out too dark, light, grainy, etc. Other uses can include de-emphasizing a background, or creating a shadow.

Filters

Some of the real high powered manipulations come into play when you work with filters. These are simply an automated series of mathematical transformations that can get you some interesting effects.

I would advise for you to explore them at will, seeking what each will do - and only using them if they make sense. Beware - some people like to go a little overboard with these.
